Meet The Staff

Michelle Woodside, BLS, CAC
OWNER/PRESIDENT
Certified Addictions Counselor
Certified Addiction Specialist
Michelle Woodside brings a plethora of real world experience as the owner and founder of Wellington Way. In addition to serving on the Criminal Justice, Mental Health, Substance Abuse Planning Council of the County Commissions, Michelle is a Drug Court Graduate, a Substance Abuse Coalition Drug Court Liaison for Palm Beach County and received the Governor's award for fighting substance abuse in the community in 2006. After overcoming her own eighteen year long addiction to cocaine and heroin, Michelle found herself in court mandated treatment. It was there that she got sober and realized that she could do the most good by helping other members of her community understand the nature of addiction and help those addicted to drugs and alcohol achieve sobriety. She is passionate in her quest to help those in the judicial system understand that people addicted to drugs and alcohol need treatment for their substance abuse, not incarceration. Michelle began her work as a receptionist at an in-patient facility and worked her way up through the ranks to achieve her many certifications and promotions and is currently working to obtain her PhD in Psychology. Michelle founded Wellington Way Recovery because "I understand the vicious cycle of addiction and I am committed to helping addicts in recovery to stop this cycle."

“I agreed to go to Wellington Way because I thought it would make my family happy. I can't tell you how 'off base' I was. My time in Wellington has made more of an impact on me than I can express. God put me in just the right place at just the right time, and I am truly grateful. The residential and clinical staff were very dedicated to my recovery and gave me the tools I needed to succeed. As a result, I am a better husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. I have continued with my prescribed aftercare program, and I'm really excited about what the future will bring."
